The Industrial Services Division of
Deborah Services Limited has recently been awarded the
Access Contract for the Vivergo Fuels Project at BP’s
Saltend in Hull. Initial works has now commenced and
is expected to continue until December 2010 with a value
of circa £3 million.
The Vivergo Fuels Project is a joint
venture between BP, British Sugar, and Dupont and the
building of the plant is being managed by Aker Solutions,
with an overall project build cost at circa £200
million.
When complete the plant will process
1.1 million tonnes of locally produced wheat annually
to produce ½ million tonnes of high protein animal
feed and 420 million litres of bio ethanol fuel.
The process if waste free and the CO²
emissions of vehicles using the bio ethanol will be
absorbed by the wheat grown for the plant.
