Deborah Services, one of the UK’s leading
multi discipline contracting companies, have secured a major
five year scaffolding, and access maintenance contract at
Fawley Refinery near Southampton. Worth circa $30 million
over 5 years, the project is to provide an alternative means
of access at the refinery by means of System Scaffolding.
The Board of Deborah Services, Chris Neate,
Peter Kidd & John Neal stated, “The Fawley Refinery
is one of the largest in Europe and we are proud to have won
this contract against extremely fierce competition. Our aim
is to provide a dedicated, proactive development team to ensure
that Esso/Exxon’s project goals are achieved to the
highest standards.”
This prestigious award follows the submission
of an exacting competitive tender and several months of discussions.
Apart from the quotation being commercial viable for Esso,
the contract was also attained by DSL’s obvious commitment
and enviable track record. In line with their Technical Review
Esso visited previous DSL projects at BP Grangemouth and Terra
at Billingham, Teesside. These visits allowed DSL to fully
demonstrate how the project would be carried out.
The Award of the Fawley Contract to Deborah
Services, who up until 2000 were a subsidiary of Rentokil
Initial Plc, is a further indication of how the business has
continued to develop following the Management Buy Out.
In March of this year the Company acquired
Steadfast Scaffolding based in Killingholme. Steadfast have
a long and distinguished reputation as a major Scaffolding
Company within the Humberside Area and the Deborah Services
Limited Board acted quickly to secure this opportunity.
The Board believes the acquisition of Steadfast
will enable the company to provide it’s Humberside Clients
with the additional core services Deborah Services Limited
can offer - Insulation, Protective Coatings, Fireproofing
and Asbestos Removal which we believe will provide a significant
improvement to our Clients cost base for Maintenance and Project
work.
DSL Steadfast who are the incumbent Multi-Discipline
Maintenance Contractor for Total Fina Elf at Lindsey Oil Refinery
have also recently secured two major Shutdowns for Alstom
Power Ltd and Mitsui Babcock with a Total Contract Value of
circa £1.5 million.
The success of the Fawley Contract comes
at a time when the Multi-Discipline Division of the Deborah
Services Limited group have won other major contracts including:
-
Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd – BP Coryton
Clean Fuels Project
Contract Value circa £1.0 million
Fabricom / Caxios – BP Saltend SLEU Project
Contract Value circa £1.2 million
Petroplus North Tees – Maintenance Contract
Mitsui Babcock Connoco Phillips – Reformer Scaffolding
Contract value circa £0.4 million
The Company is convinced that it’s planned growth and
development is a result of understanding the Clients needs
and providing them with a service which we believe is unmatched
by many of our competitors.
All of our Management Team, staff and workforce
have worked extremely hard and with their continued commitment
and determination they have shown, the Board are confident
the success of Deborah Services Limited will long continue.
