Since 1998
our Industrial Services Division has provided both term maintenance
and the successful completion of various major projects at
Oldbury Power Station in Gloucestershire. During 2009 the
division were involved in 2 major outages and provided all
works for access and insulation. At the end of the year we
delighted to receive the following letter from Joe Lamonby,
Site Director for Magnox North.
“For the first time in its 42 year
operational life, in 2009 Oldbury has completed two statutory
outages in the same year. Both have been a great success in
terms of safety (with no lost time accidents and very few
minor incidents) and duration (with all planned work completed
to time). This is a fantastic achievement for the Site, but
one which would not have happened without the support of our
supply chain partners. There is no doubt that the service
you provided as a key supplier to the Site during these outages
has been a major contributing factor to their success.
I am aware that this outcome has not
been easily achieved, and has involved long hours and huge
commitment from all those who have worked on your behalf on
the site. I would therefore like to offer my personal thanks
to you and your team for your contribution in assisting me
to deliver the work programme and in helping to enable Oldbury
to continue to generate electricity into 2010 and beyond.”
Our site manager, Terry Kenyon together with
his team is responsible for delivering this service which
is why we have achieved such praise.
Jim Salkeld Snr, Senior Operations Manager
would like to thank Terry and his team.
“It makes me proud and fortunate
to have excellent Management delivery teams on all the sites
I am involved with. A huge well done to Terry and the team
at Oldbury Nuclear Power Station for achieving exceptional
high level of Safety performance and satisfaction to one of
our very important valued customers. We trust this will enable
Deborah Services to be in a good position for securing further
work not just on the Oldbury site, but for other major projects
within the Magnox Group.”
